Description
I chose to go into medicine to help children and young adults live long, happy lives. I decided to specialize in adolescent medicine because it combines my interests in pediatrics, mental health and gynecology. I am also particularly passionate about reproductive health. I provide a comprehensive initial visit for my patients and talk to my teenage patients alone in order to give them the space to start developing their own voice. This allows patients to talk freely about subjects they might not be comfortable with someone in the room overhearing. However, I always encourage my patients to have open communication with their parents as well.
